HSV 162 - Introduction to Human Disabilities and Services
3 credits
This course introduces careers related to working with people with disabilities. It includes an introduction to special education, residential services, vocational services, and other services for children and adults with disabilities. The students will be introduced to specific disabilities, ways people with disabilities learn, child development, and literacy. It covers professionalism, teamwork, communication skills, and behavior management. The students will complete service learning projects.
