DHY 280 - Clinical Dental Hygiene II 3 credits This course is an application of the instrumental skills utilized in preventative and therapeutic dental hygiene clinical experiences in oral prophylaxis, application of preventative therapeutics, and radiography techniques to beginner level. This course is a pass/not pass course. This course is only offered to students who are accepted into the dental hygiene program. This course is the second of four DHY courses in clinical dental hygiene. This course will help students develop knowledge of clinical dental hygiene and instrumentation skills. Students will use these skills to critically think as they evaluate and treat dental hygiene patients. This knowledge will be beneficial to the career of dental hygiene.
