ENG 111 - Technical Writing


3 credits
This course teaches the organization, development, and refinement of technical communications, with an emphasis on business and practical application. Students will become familiar with the complexities and constraints of on-the-job communication, learn about the importance of audience-centered communication, establish a working knowledge of the research process, practice proper technical writing conventions, develop formatting and publishing techniques, acquire necessary skills for developing graphics and templates and documentation management. This course helps students build confidence in their communication skills, enabling them to think critically, consider the viewpoints of others, and effectively express themselves, skills which will benefit students academically, professionally, and personally.
