ART 174 - Ceramics II 3 credits This course will explore advanced methods of designing, forming, glazing, and firing clay. The student will develop knowledge of good design as it relates to both function and expression. Using the techniques of coil, slab, pinch, and wheel, students will achieve an understanding of the historic and cultural significance of this art form. This course will allow students to find new forms of self-expression, both in visual career fields and on a personal level. Required participation in the college art show introduces students to proper presentation methods.
