AGA 380 - Integrated Pest Management 4 Credits Course Description: Students will acquire basic identification skills related to plant development stages, plant diseases, insects, fertility deficiencies, weeds, and integrated pest management. This course will provide a core background, with attention to specialty topics in agriculture, forestry, and horticulture pesticide applicator certification. Students select certification categories and are eligible for pesticide applicator certification upon completion of course. Commercial certification will be emphasized. Students will develop critical thinking skills that will be vital to the social, economic and environmental aspects of agriculture. The hands-on learning and technical application skills will provide students with many opportunities as an applicator.
