Course Description: This course focuses on reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills for non-native English speakers. Students will learn strategies for improving in each of these four skill areas. Topics covered include the following: campus culture, how to communicate in a professional manner, and how to best utilize online and campus resources. This course helps students build confidence in their English language skills so that they can effectively express themselves, which will benefit them in the classroom, in life, and in the workforce.

Common Course Assessment(s): Students will complete a minimum of four (4) major assignments. Each assignment will demonstrate competency in one of the four major areas of reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
