Course Description:
This course encompasses a familiarity of general anatomy and physiology along with the fundamental in-depth study of head and neck anatomy. Instruction emphasizes peer interaction with dental nomenclature and the inspection of the head and neck and surrounding structures.

Student Learning Outcomes and Objectives:
  1. The student will demonstrate familiarity in:
    1. General anatomy and physiology
  2. The student will demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of head and neck anatomy.
    1. The student will identify structures of head and neck.
    2. The student will draw and explain head and neck anatomy.
    3. The student will discuss body systems and anatomical considerations for local anesthesia.
