DEA 934 - Internship Seminar

Course Description:
This course provides the dental assistant student with an opportunity to share clinical experiences with peers and faculty. This course will also give the student an opportunity to develop a community project. This course helps students gain critical thinking skills which are essential to making important life, health, and career decisions.

Mode(s) of Instruction: Traditional/Face-to-Face

Student Learning Outcomes and Objectives:
  1. The student will have opportunity to share in discussions about the clinical experiences, including any negatives and positives, with an exercise in journaling to reflect on the experience.
  2. The student will keep a reflection journal of the clinical experiences and the community service learning provided to the community.
  3. The student will research, plan, implement and evaluate a community project.
