ADI 420 - Diagnostic Image Review I

Course Description:
This course is one semester and is designed for students who are pursuing a diagnostic medical sonography degree; it will serve as an introduction to the study of sonographic anatomy and physiology of structures and how they are interpreted by ultrasound. This course will enhance their overall knowledge when making important life decisions.

Course Objectives:
1. Identify and evaluate anatomic structures during abdominal and genitourinary ultrasound and modality studies. 
2. Demonstrate knowledge of disease processes with application to sonographic and Doppler patterns in abdominal and genitourinary ultrasound and modality studies. 
3. Demonstrate knowledge and application of image production and optimization in abdominal and genitourinary ultrasound.
