Computer Integrated Fabrication Technology, AAS

The Computer Integrated Fabrication Technology program prepares students for entry level positions as numerical control technicians, general machinists, tool and die makers, mold makers, tool designers, and quality control technicians. During the first year, students will develop a solid foundation in basic machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders. In the second year, students will develop basic skills in CNC programming, CAD/CAM, jig & fixture making, tool & die, and mold making. Upon completion of the program, graduates are awarded an Associate of Applied Sciences (AAS) Degree.

Program Requirement: Must pass all core program courses with the prefix MFG with a “C” or better for the semester prior to the one in which they are currently enrolling. Any exception will have to be approved in writing by the Program Coordinator or Division Dean.

Graduation Requirement: Must pass all core program courses with the prefix MFG with a “C” or better.

Because of changes in technology, students taking programs over an extended period of time may be advised to retake courses to update skills and competencies.
