Theater, Transfer Major, AA

The Theater Transfer Major is an Associate of Arts Degree designed for students transferring to Iowa Regent Universities to study a variety of undergraduate majors; requirements may vary at other institutions. Students should become familiar with the specific course requirements of the four-year institution to which they plan to transfer. Students wanting to pursue this transfer major will have the opportunity to learn the necessary content and skills for upper-level classes at the transfer institution and to be successful in their desired field after graduation.

Program Outcomes:

  1. Students will analyze diverse perspectives in arts and humanities. 
  2. Students will examine cultural similarities and differences relevant to arts and humanities. 
  3. Students will demonstrate their ability to create, interpret and/or perform diverse genres of the visual and performing arts. 
  4. Students will analyze ways that arts and humanities impact or apply to their own lives. 
  5. Students will demonstrate personal accountability both in and out of the classroom.
