Industrial Robotics and Automation, AAS

The Industrial Robotics and Automation program will provide students training in an industrial setting in topics such as assembling, installation, programming, troubleshooting, maintaining and operating industrial robotic systems. Students will develop skills in industrial controls, programming, vision systems, fluid power, multi axis motion control, and automation integration. Upon successful completion, students are awarded an Associate of Applied Sciences Degree.

Program Outcomes:

  1. Identify, set up, and operate diverse automation equipment effectively.
  2. Demonstrate expertise in writing programs across multiple programming languages for diverse applications related to automated processes.
  3. Utilize simulation software for testing and validating programs for automation equipment such as Programmable Logic Controllers, HMI’s, and Variable Frequency Drives.
  4. Integrate Human Machine Interface (HMI) programming with Programmable Logic Controller programming and Variable Frequency Drives to create automated processes.
  5. Demonstrate an ability to troubleshoot diverse automation equipment.
  6. Apply data analytics for continuous improvement of process control and efficiency.
