ECE 262 - Early Childhood Field Experience


3 credits
Supervised experience* in selected early childhood settings serving children ages birth through eight. Includes integration of theory, and developmentally appropriate evidence-based practice. Provides an understanding of the working with culturally, linguistically and ability diverse young children and families. Emphasizes professional relationships and behavior, appropriate adult / child interactions, basic curriculum planning, and program routines. *Requires a minimum of 80 contact hours (4800 minutes) for 2 credits of direct work with children, with the remaining contact hours equal to one credit being distributed across direct contact and classroom hours as deemed appropriate by the institution.
