Course Description: This course offers the student the opportunity to learn about the function of federal payroll concepts, taxes, and laws.

Student Learning Outcomes and Objectives: Record payroll transactions according to Federal laws.
a. List and differentiate between the various laws governing payroll and human resources.
b. Compute wages and salaries including FICA taxes.
c. Calculate federal withholding taxes and federal and state unemployment taxes.
d. Record comprehensive payroll transactions for a business including yearend reports.
