Course Description: This course is designed to provide the student with the knowledge necessary to operate broadcast and recording audio equipment and software. It will also teach the student to understand the properties of sound and its impact on media. Emphasis is placed on the fundamentals of planning and producing for on-air, on location, and production studio productions. This course also examines various brands of software-based DAWS (Digital Audio Workstations) that are used in both staff and freelance work. This course will also help students gain confidence in skills and abilities which will be of key significance when making important life decisions.
