Course Description: Introduction to mathematical methods used in the study of computer science. Topics include logic, methods of proof, set theory, functions and relations, recursion, discrete probability, recurrence relations, analysis of algorithms, counting techniques, permutations and combinations, graphs and trees.
Prerequisites: MAT-127 or equivalent with a “C” grade or better or the necessary score on the mandatory assessment and placement chart found in the course catalog. Mode(s) of Instruction: Traditional/Face-to-Face, Virtual
