Health & Beauty Management, AAS

The Health and Beauty Management program will provide students with a comprehensive program to prepare them for professions in the health and beauty fields. By incorporating college level business courses along with the courses required to prepare students to pass the state board exams, this degree will give the students opportunities to progress further within their field and give them the essential skills that will help them be successful as self employed cosmetologists. Iowa Central Community College and La James International Colleges have formed a partnership for the delivery of this program that combines licensure with an associate in applied science degree component.

Notes:


Program Graduation Requirements: To graduate with an AAS in Health and Beauty Management from Iowa Central Community College a student must complete the following:

  1. Student must have graduated from La James International College with a diploma in either:
    1. Cosmetology, or
    2. Massage Therapy and Esthetics
      A copy of the La James transcript must be sent to Iowa Central Community College
  2. Student must hold a current state license from Iowa or Nebraska in either:
    1. Cosmetology, or
    2. Massage Therapy and Esthetics
      A copy of the state license must be sent to Iowa Central Community College
  3. Student must complete the 18 credits required by Iowa Central Community College
