AGS 308 - Livestock Management 3 credits In this course students will learn and be able to demonstrate various livestock management practices and techniques with various types of livestock such as Beef Cattle, Swine, and Chickens. These management principles and techniques will be practical to real-life situations such as livestock restraint, health management, proper castrating, weaning procedures, shorting, feeding, and many others. These skills are critical in properly managing livestock in a production system. This class would be beneficial to those entering a career in animal science, particularly in which they would be handling and managing livestock directly.
