AUT 108 - Introduction Transportation Technology 3 credits This introductory course provides an introduction to the many facets of the automotive industry, to include: careers affecting the automotive industry, environmental concerns affecting the automotive industry, basic automotive hand tools, specialty tools, precision measuring tools, power tools and shop equipment, using service and shop manuals, and shop safety. This course will help students refine their critical thinking skills as they evaluate various topics and concepts while searching for underlying connections between the concepts, which is a skill that should be beneficial in any/all types of careers. The students will increase their mechanical aptitude that can be used in many aspects of their life.
