CRJ 170 - Overview of Cybercrime 3 credits This course is designed for students majoring in criminal justice. The course provides an introduction and overview of computer crime. In particular, a categorization of types of computer crimes including: the computer as a target, the computer as an instrument of a crime, the computer as incidental to crime, and crimes associated with the prevalence of computers. This course will help students refine their critical thinking skills as they evaluate various topics and concepts while searching for underlying connections between the concepts, which is a skill that should be beneficial in criminal justice careers.
