REC 155 - Recreational Activity Management 3 credits This course will teach the student skills specific to planning and organizing recreation and sports activities. Students will gain knowledge in: the differences in leisure based and competitive recreation activity management, aspects critical to the successful implementation of sports and recreation events and programs, staffing and staff management, volunteer management, risk and liability, activity logistics, trends in sports activities, customer service, program evaluations, demographic programming, and hands-on experience in assisting with a sports/recreation event or activity.
